At the end of the game last night Dalton Prout for an unknown reason decided to attack Sergei Plotnikov with a series of vicious cross-checks.

Told no further discipline for #CBJ Prout. Given a double-minor for high-sticking at end of 5-2 loss to #Pens.
— Aaron Portzline (@Aportzline) December 22, 2015This is the wrong decision; it’s that simple. You should not be able to use your stick as a weapon like that. The circumstance in which that took place makes it even worse. Late in a blowout game should not be the time to take liberties on other players. What bugs me about this is that if Prout had been cross-checking a star like, Crosby, Malkin, Kessel, Seguin, Ovi, etc. there is no way he doesn’t at least get a game and probably gets more. As for the Blue Jackets as whole, they are not this dirty every game. They are a hardnosed physical team that takes it too far against their rival Pittsburgh. If you don’t believe me I would recommend watching the Jackets play a team other than Pittsburgh before coming to your conclusion.
