— Elliotte Friedman (@FriedgeHNIC) October 16, 2015Hanzal has been a rock in the middle, but the team is missing a centre, as Vermette (who was injured the other night and might play tonight) is no good playing above the third line. The team sent Strome back to junior, but he'd sure look nice centering some of this speed. Perhaps the Coyotes will eventually give Samuelsson a shot to play that role, but they could also make a trade.
Something should happen because - like I wrote only about six hundred times so far - there is no value or utility to tanking the season and the team has enough talent and enough solid grinders that they could compete decently this year if everything went right. Now, is the team "for real"? If that means will they win three out of every four games, then of course not. But they're legitimately fast and they have talent on the blueline and wings, and a goalie who when he gets hot is among the best, so I'd say they're pretty legit. How legit? Just see the title!
And, while most people aren't probably all that optimistic just because of a few wins, it is worth pointing out that their best player (OEL) hasn't been very good yet at all, so that should make up for quite a bit of the inevitable regression.

You know, it's getting harder and harder to find good jeans. I was recently kicked out of a cool-kids store for making fun of their selection, 'cause all they had was denim yoga pants. They told me to go to Old Navy! Now, I ain't doing that. I'd forgo jeans all-together before I set foot in that Yuppie Hell-Hole.
But what's a guy to do? Skinny jeans just ain't gonna cut it for his cat. And don't even get me started on how difficult it is to find a good denim jacket. How's a guy supposed to look like he's in the Fleet Foxes with no jean-jacket? This is an outrage.
Also, my cat peed in my shoes, so I had to throw them away. I don't really wan't to go shopping - it is literally the worst thing in the world to have to do - but it's not looking good. I'm basically subsisting on jogging pants and loafers here people.....
