Christmas Week in NYC Part 1 (Ducks)

A Win?

Two points is better than one or none. I wish I could feel good about the Duck's win on Saturday night in New Jersey. I just don't. As a big proponent of the “a win is a win… philosophy, I should be encouraged. I'm not and its all because of expectations. If you were asked before this four game eastern road trip; would you take a split and four points. You, like me, would have probably taken he points. The problem is, last year a split wouldn't have been good enough. Settling for mediocrity, is the problem. The Ducks should be better and Duck Nation should expect more than an average product. The team has way too many above average players to be tied for the lowest point total in the NHL.

No Sleep Till Brooklyn

Forgive me, but how often can someone quote the Beastie Boys in context?

The Ducks make their first trip to the Islanders new digs at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Other than that, nothing much changes for the Ducks. Clayton Stoner was a healthy scratch against the Devils in favor of Korbinian Holzer. Stoner should be back. Frederick Andersen was named by Bruce Boudreau as tonight's goalie. The Lineup should be about the same as Saturday night.
