Forget about the Pittsburgh Penguins' 4-1 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers last night. For whatever reason, the Flyers just seem to have to Penguins' number in recent years (especially in Pittsburgh).
Even if the Pens had found a way to win last night, I'd be pretty concerned about where this team seems to be heading as the playoffs approach: they are banged up beyond belief especially on the blueline, they aren't playing very disciplined hockey and, in general, they haven't been playing down the stretch how a team that looks poised for a deep playoff run should be looking.
If the Penguins do, in fact, go out quickly again this spring, what should the next steps be? They've already turned over the coach and the GM within the last year. Just some thoughts to ponder on this Thursday afternoon.
