The Calgary Flames' organizational depth at center took a bit of a hit today as Drew Shore signed overseas.

The 25-year-old center played 13 games with the Flames over the past season and a half managing just one goal and four points. In those 13 games he recorded 1.86 points per 60 minutes at 5 v 5 - a very good but unsustainable number for him - but the Flames controlled just 40% of the shot attempts with him on the ice.
Shore spent most of last year in Stockton, where he played an important role with the club recording 38 points in 59 games.
While losing Shore is far from devastating - his ceiling was probably a good AHL player who can occasionally fill in with the big club - it was good to have someone with his experience (he has played 80 NHL games) around in case of emergency.
