Not much of anything going on with the Avalanche now that all hands are on deck following the recent signing of defenseman Tyson Barrie.
NHL.com is running 30 teams in 30 days packages this month. It includes offseason moves in narrative form, with separate stories on top prospects, reasons for optimism, questions that need to be answered and fantasy league stuff. My Avalanche package is scheduled to run Wednesday. NHL.com's Dan Rosen will have his take on the Avalanche on video.
One bit of news: the Avalanche announced Monday that they'll play their annual Burgundy and White game at the University of Denver's Magness Arena on Sunday, Sept. 25, at 3 p.m. MT.
The training camp schedule hasn't been released yet, but camp usually starts a few days before this game.
The game will be played there for the third year in a row and seventh time overall. It's been played at the Air Force Academy five times, three times at the World Arena in Colorado Springs and once at the 1STBANK Center in Broomfield, Colo.
Tickets are priced $10-25 and can be purchased through the University of Denver athletic department's web site -- www.denverpioneers.com. Fans can select seats from the interactive "Pick Your Seat Map" after logging in.
Presale for the game for Avalanche season ticketholders will be on Monday, Aug. 15, at 9 a.m., followed by a presale for Avalanche partial members and Pioneers season ticketholders on Tuesday, Aug. 16, at 9 a.m.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, Aug. 17, at 9 a.m.
