The Islanders return to home tonight to take on the Boston Bruins. In those famous words "If the season ended today" this would be the Islanders first round matchup. What does that mean tonight? Probably nothing but it will be interesting to see how the Islandwers matchup with the Bruins.
Their will be no changes to the lineup that defeated the Rangers on Tuesday night. Jaroslav Halak will be back in net and if their are days off in between games, i don't think we will see Chad Johnson anytime soon. I do expect that once the Islanders solidfy their their place in the standings you will see more of Chad Johnson in the upcoming weeks.
The Islanders schedule next month is not brutal so there will be chances for Islanders' head coach Jack Capuano to rest Jaroslav Halak. Lubomir Visnovsky is still not ready to return to the lineup so the defensive pairings and forwards will remain the same.
