Take this as a rumor, but according to three sources now, I am told that Marty Brodeur may be considering an offer with the St. Louis Blues to join their management team. That's a position he has always wanted/expected to have in New Jersey, which is who he is likely talking to this week.
Even if this is just wild speculation at this point by those close to a Brodeur, it comes at a good time for Marty and he is unquestionably one of the smartest hockey people in the game. He will be a general manager or a coach in the NHL, and this may be the time for him to start that path.
If not in NJ, then maybe starting off in St. Louis.
More to come...
