Greeting from Ottawa, here’s the latest Blue Jackets news you need to know prior to tonight's game against the Senators.
Yesterday the Blue Jackets were busy making roster moves. Josh Anderson and Michael Chaput were recalled from Lake Erie.

— Alison (@AlisonL) November 18, 2015Anderson was called up as insurance for Jared Boll, who bruised his foot blocking a shot against St. Louis. Once it was determined that Boll had to go on the IR, Chaput was brought up. They will both join the team tonight.
Of the two I expect Anderson to see more of the playing time. He plays a very similar game to Boll, albeit with a bit more speed and skill. Anderson was doing pretty well in Lake Erie prior to the call up registering four points in eight games. He seems to be recovered from the face injury he suffered in the pre-season. Anderson should slot in on the fourth line with Gregory Campbell and Kerby Rychel. Rychel and Anderson should have some chemistry together having been teammates for the last two seasons; they also played on a line together internationally at the World Juniors in 2014.
Chaput has been on this ride before. He spent most of last season up down between the AHL and NHL. He managed to play 33 games for the Blue Jackets last season as the club dealt with so many injuries. He scored one goal and had five points with the big club. He has 50 games of NHL experience so if Anderson (or even Rychel for that matter) struggles I would imagine there would be no hesitation to put Chaput into the lineup.

An interesting story came out yesterday from Elliotte Friedman yesterday that the Islander’s Travis Hamonic has requested a trade.

However Hamonic won’t be coming to Columbus as he is dealing with a personal issue and wants to be moved to a Western Canadian team.
Hamonic loves the Isles. This is personal. Wpg, Edmtn, Cgy and Van all preferred. Might expand to other west cities. Tough on Isles....

This will be the price Jarmo Kekalainen will have to pay if he wants to improve the Jackets d-core. This will be an interesting story to follow over the next few weeks.
