Jarmo Kekalainen took care of some housekeeping on Monday in signing a pair of prospects.
Those prospects are American defenseman Blake Siebenaler, who was a 3rd round pick in 2014, and Swiss blue liner Dean Kukan.
Siebenaler is a smooth-skating, puck-moving defenseman who has spent his last two seasons playing for the OHL's Niagara IceDogs.
He scored 12 times and tallied 37 points in 66 games while playing big minutes for an IceDogs team that made it to the 2nd round of the playoffs before bowing out to the eventual Memorial Cup champions in the Oshawa Generals.
His defensive game is an area some feel he could use some work in but he is improving in his own end and has been particularly good at denying zone entries in my viewings.
He'll be back in Niagara next season and will play a key part on a team that is expected to be among the league's best.
As for Kukan, he is a 21-year-old who has spent the last couple seasons playing pro hockey in Switzerland.
The 6'2' 200b defenseman has seven goals and 25 points in 106 games during that span so it's probably safe to say he won't ever he a big point producer.
That said, he has posted respectable point totals playing against men and is apparently pretty sound defensively so he seems worthy of a contract.

The Blue Jackets have been linked to Columbus kid Jack Roslovic for a while now and they're apparently set to interview him at the scouting combine today.

— Aaron Portzline (@Aportzline) June 2, 2015Roslovic is coming off an impressive season where tallied 38 points in 25 games with the USNTDP Juniors, and scored 27 goals while registering 79 points in 65 games with the U.S. National Under-18 team.
He is expected to be an early 2nd round pick this year and it just so happens the Blue Jackets have a pair of picks in the top-8 of the 2nd round.
This will be a fun storyline to follow as we lead up to the draft.
