OK this blog is going to be pretty brief and I don’t know when the next one is going to be.
Baby Wilson #3 has decided it is time to join the party a week early.
Pittsburgh puts the pressure back on Philadelphia and Detroit with their 4-2 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes.
Sidney Crosby was awesome and scored two amazing goals that you can see here:

That tip is outrageous and why he’s Sidney Crosby.
Crosby now has 31 goals on the year and it is the seventh time in his career he has hit that milestone. He is also now on a ten game point streak.
Matt Murray allowed two goals in the first five minutes of game action. He did not allow a goal the rest of the way. That is six quality starts in his six career starts. Exactly the caliber of play you want when you let the regular starter get a day off.
Matt Murray's save percentage in 80 AHL/NHL games since turning pro: .936. Might have a future.

Nick Bonino and Phil Kessel each scored after not really doing that for some time. Kessel had a very nice assist on the Bonino goal

Kris Letang didn’t register a point in this game which has been an incredibly rare occurance but he is still driving play with the best of them
Kris Letang has been on the ice for 31 of the Penguins' 60 shot attempts, according to @HockeyStatsCa. That's pretty ridiculous.

Penguins finished w/ season-high 48 shots, btw. Most since getting 48 on Dec. 18, 2014.

So far so good without Evgeni Malkin.
Big weekend coming up with Philadelphia on Saturday and Washington on Sunday.
Thanks for reading!
