In a move so shocking that it must mark the beginning of an association between the Arizona Coyotes and M. Night Shyamalan, Martin Hanzal has been placed on the injured reserve.
Also, Michael Stone has gone back to the I.R.
In corresponding moves, Anthony DeAngelo has been recalled, as has Tyler Gaudet.
DeAngelo has seven points in eight games for the Tuscon Roadrunners, the AHL affiliate of the Coyotes.
He was acquired at this past draft from Tampa in exchange for the 36th overall pick. The Lightning had previously picked him 20th overall. He is a right handed shooting skill player, and it will be interesting to see if gets a shot to play with OEL since Stone, Goligoski and Murphy have all been (at best) underwhelming when paired with the big dog. (A phrase I am going to start using now that I have become a huge DMX fan.)
