Summary:
First Period: Didn’t realize Leafs won’t be in LCA after tonight this season. Wings “home game… vs. Leafs will be overseas.
with 59.5 seconds left, Larkin went to the box for holding. Wings killed off the first minute, end of period.

Second Period:
Wings kill remaining penalty and draw the man advantage at around the 5 minute mark. Leafs kill it off and Ellis opens the scoring for the leafs shortly after the PK shut down Detroit’s offense. 1-0 Leafs. Leafs broke through again at 10:41 as a shot from the pointe hit Seider’s leg and possibly Ellis and wen in. 2-0 TOR shots 12-10 Tor.
Detroit finally got on the board as Larkin grabbed the puck on a net mouth scramble and sent it home. With 55.6 seconds left Chiarot launched a shot from the blue line and Sprong provided a screen. 2-2. Shots 17 apiece. Then, with 6.9 seconds left Veleno scored after grabbing a loose puck that deflected off a Toronto defender and sending it in short side. 3-2 DET, shots 18-17 DET

Third Period:
At 5:09 Sprong used a beautiful snapshot to pick the near side corner after a pause and slight angle change. Beautifully executed. 4-2 DET.
For the next ten minutes Detroit and Toronto trade power play opportunities. Shots are now 31-21 with about 5 minutes left. Veleno has had a good couple of games, and Sprong’s shot is still fun to watch. The crowd looks and sounds good for this one.
Raymond has been knocking on the door. If he can add some finish his skating and physicality have definitely picked up.
Toronto pulls the goalie with 2:48 LEFT, Detroit takes a penalty on the face off. 6 on 4 with an empty net and no icing. Detroit clears. 2:30 left. At 2:00 Detroit missed the empty net but still no score by Toronto. Cleared again at 1:45. With 1:11 left Toronto scored. 4-3 with 71 seconds left. Shots are 32-24 DET.
With 45 seconds left Toronto pulls the goalie again. 28 seconds left and Seider is sent to the box for holding. 6 0n 4 for up to 28 seconds. Wings hold on to win it 4-3. Finish preseason at 5-2-1
