Wings fans are starting to get trolled a bit online with fake rumors from parody accounts. It’s effective because things are a mess right now. The boos started subtly tonight, but may not be so subtle if things keep heading in this direction.
All of you that stop by have been through the bad signings and departures and what seems to be a general apathy that hits the team and the fans both. Detroit has painted itself into a bit of a no win situation. At this point you don’t really want to give up draft picks, but there’s no real way to move some of the dead weight without a sweetener.
More than turning the position in the standings, the team just seems to be broken. Players aren’t on the same page as pucks are continually turned over, passes missed and opportunities squandered. The factions of “let it tank… and “show some sign of trying to move forward… are already speaking up. It’s a sad step in the wrong direction.
The pairings and line combinations just seem to be off. There are some thoughts on the game and the two organizations in the video above. Let me know your thoughts and where you want this team to end up this year. It feels like something is going to be “tweaked… after the freeze is up, but a lot more than a tweak is needed.
