Wild Worst October Since 1st Season (Wild)

October thankfully is in the books and behind the Minnesota Wild who completed their worst opening month since their inaugural season finishing the month with a 4-9-0 record.

The schedule makers have not been kind either to the Wild as they have only had four home games thus far while playing nine on the road. It of course gets worse because the Wild will not play their own 9th home game until the final game scheduled in November on the 29th.

Schedule aside the Wild are not doing themselves any favors with their up and down play. They deserve to be right where they are.

So what happened to Ryan Donato the player that arrives with a chip on his shoulder eager to prove that he belonged in the NHL and ready to show the Bruins that they made a mistake dealing him the the Wild? How about Kevin Fiala a guy that has shown great promise in the past and just needing an opportunity to show to take his game to the next level.

What about Jordan Greenway who has the tools and size to be a handful for opponents every night?

We know what to expect from the veterans and to be honest they have given us what we expected. The next generation of Wild forwards continues to confound us all. Is it the players, is it the situation they have been put in, is it the head coach and his system or lack of trust, or is it that these guys are just really not that good?

Either way if the team is going to continue to struggle and more importantly lack offense there is no good reason why these three along with Joel Eriksson Ek are not getting build bulk of the ice time. Who cares about keeping the game close because in the end a loss is still zero points in the standings. Who knows maybe one of these kids catches fire or call me crazy what if they actually infuse life into some of the veterans...just a thought.

Tired of the same old Wild no life no spark no offense and nothing to show for it in the standings either.
