We inch closer to the final Wild roster for opening night, now down to 24 players in Wild camp.
Ryan Malone as expected was released from his NHL tryout and now will continue in Iowa on an AHL tryout.
Former UMD Bulldog Carson Soucy was assigned to Iowa also not a surprise, but Soucy had a strong camp and will get plenty of ice time in the AHL to hone his skills in his first professional season.
The final preseason game tomorrow evening in St.Paul as the Wild host the Stars, will be the final test before the final cuts will be announced.
Luke Kunin netted his first goal of the preseason with his parents in the crowd, last night. Kunin is in a battle with Joel Eriksson Ek and it is very close. Of course if one of the two is assigned to Iowa it is expected that we will see them both in the Wild lineup in the not too distant future.
