As hard as it may seem to be with a win today the Wild can reach the .500 mark for the first time this season. Quietly the Wild have put together a seven game point streak together going 4-0-3 over that stretch.
Getting production up and down the lineup the boys are making things very interesting.
Kaapo Kahkonen got the win in his NHL debut on Tuesday in New Jersey and could make it two in a row today in St. Paul.
Today's home game will be the ninth of the season for the Wild and number 10 will be played Sunday afternoon before the Wild hit the road for three. When they return home they will have played 30 games and 20 away from the friendly confines if the Xcel Energy Center. Considering the team has lost only once in regulation at home with that being the very first home tilt of the season vs. the Penguins, there is reason to believe that this team can claw their way back into the playoff race with the home heavy schedule about to commence.
It's always Hockey Day in The State of Hockey!
