After last night's defeat in Dallas the Wild have now dropped five straight road games for the first time since ce 2019. The two most recent losses coming out of the break have the Wild's playoff rather tenuous.
The locker room door was closed after last night's game and the players did their own talking and soul searching. This Wild team is very tight knit and the accountability is high amongst the players. Dean Evason and his staff have instilled a system and structure that is nothing short of professional. The players have ownership to the results and they are not satisfied with how things are going.
Vegas is in a battle of their own in the jam packed Pacific Division race for top spot as well as qualifying for the dance itself. Mark Stone is out of the Golden Knights lineup for an u disclosed period following back surgery. Jack Eichel is back after his most recent injury but his production is not where it was earlier in the season.
Every game is big but ending a two game skid makes tonight that much more pivotal for the Wild as they open a seven game homestand.
