Kevin Fiala doesn't have to wait long to visit his old mates, as the Kings come to visit the XCEL Energy Center tonight. Neither the Wild or Kings have started the way that they had hoped so tonight should be a better display from both teams.
The Kings have dropped two already with both at home including a 4-1 defeat at the hands of the Seattle Kraken. Fiala has yet to register his first point in a Kings sweater and is a minus 3 with four shots on goal in his first two contests. We have seen Fiala start slow before, but when he gets going he can heat up fast.
For the Wild, they are looking to erase the memory of Thursday night and get right back to business playing Minnesota Wild hockey After a strong start to the game against the Rangers the boys got out of their game quickly and chased the game the rest of the night.
To the Wild credit they continued to scratch and claw but the deficit was far too large to overcome vs. a quality opponent such as the Rangers are.
Dean Evason made it clear that the Wild will have a stronger tram commitment to the defensive game while cleaning up the bad penalties.
It's always Hockey Day in The State of Hockey!
