It was a foregone conclusion for Wild head coach Dean Evason and his staff to get new deals, and now it is done officially.
Bill Guerin had always intended for this to be done and to not have Evason be a "lame duck" coach and so now it is all complete and the Wild can continue to move forward.
Evason has been a tremendous bench boss with this team ever since taking the helm back in February 2020. He has guided the team through the roster transition and the leadership turnover within the locker room. He has had his finger on the pulse of the team from the start.
The team is definitely in a far better place than what we witnessed for the years leading up to the Bill Guerin regime which was actually started with Paul Fenton and then put into overdrive with Evason pulling the strings behind the bench.
