I put this out on Twitter yesterday, and I want to get to the bottom of it.
I was debating with an old hockey announcer the following topic:
Assuming the players all grew up in this current era, with this equipment, training/diet, etc.
Who would be better: A team consisting of the best Montreal Canadiens of all time OR a team with the best Edmonton Oilers of all time?
Or would another team take the Championship?
I had some argue for the Habs, some for the Oilers....and the Red Wings and Bruins were also discussed...I also feel the Penguins, Hawks, Leafs, Islanders, Rangers, and Flyers would be able to challenge.
But back to Montreal vs. Edmonton...

A couple of notes. The addition of Pronger is someone I frankly forget about as an Oiler...that is a game changer. The fact that Carey Price, PK Subban, Shea Weber, Saku Koivu....can't crack the lineup in Montreal is stunning.
I think it's a hell of a battle of The Oilers Offense versus the Habs D and Goaltending...in the end, in a 7 game series, I go Montreal in 6...
