The announcement of the two hub cities is expected to be as soon as next week, before the NHL Draft Lottery.
Reports have been scattered of where and how the playoffs will be set up. There have been some indications that the 12 Eastern Conference clubs would play in Vegas and the dozen Western clubs playing in the Eastern city to avoid any minute advantage for home teams in their buildings.
I have been told that it will be the Western Conference playing in Vegas (if it is the hub city) and the East playing in Toronto if there are no late hiccups with players not having to be quarantined entering Canada.
