Last night 1-3 -4.17 Units YTD 183-164-4 +25.16 Units
We only have 4 games tonight, very small card! But some huge games with massive playoff implications. Nashville and Chicago are fighting each other for the final playoff in the Central Division. Arizona is trying to hold off 3 teams for the final playoff in the West when they host Minnesota. SJ is chasing down AZ as they face Vegas while Montreal tries to stop the bleeding as they play Edmonton.
**I have started to research teams that come off at least a 5 game road trip and how they fare in their first game back home.** Its 10-8 to date.
Scenario #1 – Teams that are rested, either sitting at home or on the road while their opponent plays the night before. 22-10 over the last month of tracking it! The under is 18-13-1 in these spots.
Scenario #2 – Teams that are playing each other in back to back games, in which the home team loses the first game, the record of the home team in the second game is 75-49. Chicago and AZ fit the system tonight.
Scenario #3 – Teams playing back to back road games on consecutive nights tend to go under the total in the 2nd game. So far that trend is 37-28-2 when teams play on the road back to back nights.
Scenario #4 - One last angle I am tracking that is slightly profitable and similar to Scenario #1, is when any team loses the first game of a back to back against the same team, regardless if it’s on the road or at home, those teams are 95-69 in that situation.
Quick stat updates - First period totals going over were 3-5 last night and are 333-367 on the season. Road teams were 2-6 last night and are 328-363 on the season. Game totals going over the total were 5-3 last night and are 322-339-29 on the season.
Gamenotes for tonight –
Preds/Hawks – Nashville has now won all 6 meetings this season with the last one going over the total for the first time this season.
Wild/Coyotes – Wild have won 4 in a row, while AZ is 1-6 in their last 7. Minny has won 6 of 7 head to head including the last 5 straight!
SJ/Vegas – SJ has lost 6 straight, Vegas has won 7 straight. Vegas has won all 6 meetings this season with 4 of 6 going under the total.
Habs/Oilers – Habs are 3-7 in their last 10 while the Oilers are 6-4 in that same period. All 6 games have gone under the total this season with Montreal winning 4 of 6 head to head.
All system plays for 1 Unit each tonight –
Hawks – ML(+116) AZ – ML(+140)
Good luck tonight!
