Well, it's great to be back for another season of handicapping hockey for our Hockeybuzz readers! Whenever I start making plays to start a season in the NHL, I make small plays until I get a handle on teams. As many of you know, I play a lot of system plays but I also go off how a team is playing, momentum is huge in hockey during the long regular season. If anyone has a question or angles on how they handicap hockey, please feel free to DM on Hockeybuzz or post the question in the comment section of the blog. I always get back to anyone that sends me a question.
I will post my systems as we get the season going, for now, I will make a few small plays each night.
Playing each for half unit -
BOS/WSH u6.5 CLB/CAR u6 TOR/MTL u6.5 CHI/COL u6.5
The reason for playing under the total is that goalies are ahead of the forwards early in the season. Many teams can resort back to their defensive zone structure until the teams forwards gel and get on the same page.
