Well, the Vegas Golden Knights ruined a great night for us, but I can't complain when you have a winning night. As I mentioned in the comment section throughout the day and the evening(be sure to check the comment btw all day long)that we hit a few added plays on top of what we posted. Road teams were once again 4-3 but the overs are still hitting going 5-2 as did the 1st-period overs at 5-2 for the night. Favs were also 5-2! But we broke the 100 UNIT MARK ON THE YEAR!!!! Thanks to the many who messaged me on IM here at hockeybuzz. I love giving you all info and helping you win dollars. We only have 3 games tonight, analysis below.
MTL/BOS - The Bruins are red hot-off wins on the road at TB and WSH, winning 5 of 6 games since the break. They now start a 7 game homestand and have the Flyers tomorrow night then upstart Nashville, followed by Carolina and WSH. I always worry about a letdown but they are at home and it's against a rival. The Has haven't played since Jan. 1st. I like the 1st period over and the Bruins in the 1st period, much like the same scenario last night with VAN/FL. Also lean to the over 6 for this game.
SEA/DAL - The Kraken have only played once since Jan. 1st and they lost at Colorado while losing all 4 games since the break and 3 of them went over the total. Dallas has only played 3 times since the break and now has Florida and TB on deck on the road. Horrible look ahead spot for the Stars. Lean to the over 6. Pass on the side due to the crazy juice.
TOR/AZ - The Yotes sat rested while the Leafs won in a shootout in Vegas 4-3. But AZ lost their best defensemen in Chychrun and is ravaged with covid and injuries. Do the Leafs have a letdown or does the hometown boy Matthews have a big game?! Toronto doesn't play again until Saturday at STL. Leafs -320 isn't worth it but the over 6 sure is in this spot! If you're brave AZ +260 as they have been off since Saturday when they beat Chicago.

MTL/BOS o6(2 Units) plus 1st period o2 and BOS ML 1st period ML, each for 1 Unit SEA/DAL o6(2 Units) TOR/AZ o6(2 Units) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Survivor Hockey Pool is basically the same idea as Survivor Football pools, except picking consistent winners in hockey is a little tougher than it is in football. Our Survivor Hockey pool is all based on the weekend (Sat-Sun) schedule, so you could potentially pick a team against different opponents if they play both days.
How to Play
Entrants pick two teams each weekend of the NHL regular season with the intention of the selection winning. A shootout or OT win, count as your team winning.
If the team's selected wins, the entry survives to the following week.
If one of the teams selected loses, the entry is eliminated from the pool. If you fail to post your picks before the weekly deadline, your team is eliminated.
If all remaining teams lose during a week, they all move on to the next week. The final surviving entry is the winner unless there are multiple teams alive after the final week of the season.
Teams may only be selected one time for the duration of the pool. You can't pick a team a second time after you have used that desired team's selection once.
If you pick a team in which the game is postponed due to covid, the selection will be canceled, you won't be graded a win or a loss and you will have to pick an additional play the following weekend.
We will post a new blog every Friday in which you will post your 2 weekly picks. The picks can't be edited as the system shuts them down and we will take pics of each weekly entry so nobody is trying to cheat. This way everyone can see your picks each week. The deadline for your weekly entry will be at Noon EST every Saturday. The first week's deadline is Saturday, Jan. 15th at Noon EST.
Cost - $100 per entry is payable by Paypal or if you live in Canada, E-transfer is accepted, which is also the quickest way to gain entry. If you choose Paypal allow a few days for the payment to go through so please keep this in mind when registering that we need to receive it before the deadline for week 1 picks need to be posted. The maximum number of entries by any e-mail address or user at hockeybuzz is 3! Once we have your money you will be notified and activated into the contest. Please IM here at hockeybuzz and I will give you the email address for Paypal or the E-transfer. We will release how many entries we have after the deadline so each entrant is aware of the payout at the end of the contest.
