We had a nice return last night winning four units. Road teams continue to do well, they split on the night, and games going over the total were 4-1-1. We had 2 games close with a total of 7, giving us 4 games on the season having totals of 7! Another small card tonight with only 5 games. Analysis below.
WIN/DAL - The Stars have gone under the total in 4 straight games and are off a bad loss in AZ the other night. These 2 teams have split the first 2 games head to head this season. DAL is very good at home while the Jets are dreadful on the road. DAL needs to win their home games now with 10 road games and only 4 home games in March. The Jets are 4-4 since the All-Star break and are super inconsistent, this will be their 2nd game on this 4 game roadie with COL on deck. Lean to the Stars -151 in this one.
EDM/TB - The Oilers have played very well on the road this year going 14-8-3 and TB is outstanding at home 16-4-1-3 but the Lightning is off an 8-day rest. Teams off long breaks haven't fared well this season. TB is starting a 5 game homestand tonight. EDM is 5-1 under their new head coach and lost their first game with the new regime but they were playing their 5th game in 7 nights. The Oilers now hit the road for 5 games in 8 nights. The value is incredible on EDM +181, give me the Oilers all day long in this spot, plus they are off until Saturday after this one!
BUFF/MTL - The Habs have won 3 games in a row for the first time this season! The Sabres beat MTL in the first 3 games head to head this season but that changes tonight, with both teams going in different directions. BUFF is on a 5 game roadie with games on deck at STL/DAL and TOR. Huge lean to MTL -110.
COL/DET - The Avs beat the Wings earlier in the season at home 7-3 and now they play in DET where the Wings have played their best hockey this season. The Avs are way too steep a price at -300. But the Wings are +257 are a live dog as they will treat this as their Stanley Cup Final tonight. This will be the Av's 4th straight road game and I truly wonder if they are hitting a stretch where their motivation for certain games will be lower motivation. COL has WIN and VEG on deck this week, one a division rival and the other a conference rival. Lean to DET +257, great price!
LA/AZ - They just played each other a few nights ago in AZ. LA needs wins at AZ and ANA the rest of this week to stay in the playoff hunt. The Kings have gone over the total in 6 straight games. The Yotes are 1-2 to start this 7 game homestand. They got VEG on deck too. They split the first 2 head to head, with LA just winning in AZ a few nights ago. Lean to LA -215.
