Even as someone who admittedly isn't the biggest follower of junior hockey, I love the WJC. Today we reach the end of the road with the bronze medal (USA vs. Czech Republic) and gold medal (Canada vs. Sweden) games.
While the favorites are definitely Canada for gold and USA for bronze, I think the biggest lesson from this tourney has been that it really wouldn't be a huge upset if Sweden (which has two of the very best players in the tourney and a cohesive two-way style) or the Czechs (with a game-breaking scorer and having gotten excellent goaltending in the quarterfinals were to win. I'm not expecting a blow out in either game.
