The Wheeling and Dealing has already begun...I am talking to sources every day who are starting to get hints of what exactly is the direction that George McPhee is heading.
While there are almost too many rumors out there to focus in entirely at this stage, there does appear to be a pattern emerging:
"The Knights are looking to build out from the D. He appears more than willing to talk to teams about getting experienced defenders and then looking to kids to get the goals," one source said.
Another texted, "The Nashville Model. McPhee and Poile are very similar in many ways.."
This is why we are hearing names like Emelin in Montreal being on the radar...I have heard Kris Russel, who the Oilers are trying to re-sign, is also a possibility...Mark Streit as well...(Streit would like to return to Philly possibly)
"The belief is, get a strong defense with experience and you'll be able to experiment up front," yet another source confirmed.
