One hub city has reportedly been decided while the second still remains up in the air. The Breadman is back on the ice for New York. Plus a little pump up video to get you in the mood for hockey, in case you needed any more motivation.
Vegas had been rumored to be a possible hub city for several weeks. The risk of the hub city being there is the possibility of cross-contamination due to all the other people in that town. We likely will see the NHL sequester the players in an all-inclusive hotel, similar to Disney, where a variety of activities will be available, though we will see if ganbling will be one of them. In addition, up in the air is if families will be able to join the players and coaches. I would look for a hotel or hotels off the strip to be where the teams are housed to minimize contact with others.
Once interesting aspect with this announcement is per Larry Brooks, the Eastern Conference will have their games in Vegas while the West will play in the other hub, which could be Toronto, "As the league previously has indicated it would not allow a team to play at home, so the Golden Knights and the Western Conference will be located in the other hub city, which the NHL would like to name as Toronto if Canada drops its 14-day self-quarantine requirement for all individuals entering the country." Plus, with Vegas selected, this quite likely rules out Vancouver and Edmonton, as doubtful the NHL wants both hub cities out west. Seeing the East out West and the West in the East will take a while to get used to and could make for late-evening watching.

Artemi Panarin test for Coronavirus clearly came up negative as he joined those teammates that are in the area on the ice Saturday, As seen from the below, Adam Fix, Marc Staal and Brendan Smith were. Chris Kreider, Brendan Lemieux and Phil Di Giuseppe are also participating, though only six players are allowed on the ice at one time.
