After being checked along the boards by Kings forward Trevor Lewis in the third period of the 3-2 victory over Los Angeles on Monday, van Riemsdyk did not practice at the MasterCard Centre on Tuesday, but did take to the ice for the Leafs morning skate. Van Riemsdyk appeared tentative early on, but took line rushes with Tyler Bozak and Connor Brown and was participating in special teams drills on the second power play unit.
