The NHL season has barely started, but we already have our first player to potentially jump the Ship. (No pun intended)
Russian center Vadim Shipachyov was assigned to AHL's Chicago Wolves by the NHL's 31st franchise earlier last week. Player has no reported and hasn't played a game to this point for either team since the assignment.
People were questioning the decision, and nobody really knows what happened, but what we know right now is that Shippy is exploring options, to play at the Olympics if he can't crack the Vegas Golden Knights roster as a regular. To be fair to him - he hasn't even gotten a chance to showcase himself.

What will happen with the player is still pretty much up in the air, and we are unlikely to know what is going on until something comes out of Vegas' front-office.
