We have been talking about Duchene and Shipachyov for last however long time, and now we can finally put both to rest.. but can we?
Vadim Shipachyov has signed with KHL's SKA St.Petersburgh ending the Vegas saga. Taking a huge pay cut - Just 500,000$ for the remainder of the season. What makes things even worse, he had a 9,000,000$ deal with Vegas Golden Knights, and he turned down a 12,000,000$ deal with SKA prior to signing with Vegas. Mathematically, he really, really hurt himself in the process.
Not to mention Shipachyov also will ''More than likely'' miss the Olympics, as he is not eligible to play for Team Russia according to a source familiar with the situation.
Vadim had skated in St.Petersburgh ever since he left North America, and now that signing was finally announced Vadim was allowed to speak up about the situation he has been dragged in to.
