I believe Patrick Kane to the NY Rangers will be announced today. Players will soon be nformed (if they haven’t been already).
Vegas wanted Kane BADLY, and Kane was considering it, but Kane wouldn’t go there as soon the Rangers became and option again… I don’t believe Edmonton was seriously in on Kane. They are working Karlsson still. Very Hard. Perhaps Edmonton wanted San Jose to think they were in on Kane to give them some leverage…the ability to walk away saying “We might use these assets for Kane……. But that is just conjecture…
As for Timo Meiers, NJ has made a hell of an offer…In the ballpark of.. Offer right now is in the ballpark of. 2023 First, Holtz, and Sharangovich….Casey or Mukhamadullin could possibly be added. But no way Mercer or Brother Luke…
Pierre LeBrun reported that Carolina was told last night they are out of the running for Meier..Lebrun believes it is down to NJ and Vegas…. I was told by a NJ source about Vegas as well, and it behooves San Jose to keep Vegas in this…They are the perfect team to have involved, because everyone knows they lost out on Kane and the owner is demanding something…I also believe the Blues are still in on Meier...
