Favs were hitting at a crazy rate over the weekend, as well as games going over the total. We have some teams in nice spots Tuesday night. Let's find some more winners as we only have 4 nights of regular season hockey left then the lines will get tighter. I will post goalie info in the comment section as always. Analysis below.
FL/BOS - The Panthers had their 13 game win streak snapped by TB the other night and have noting to play for. The Bruins can still grab 3rd place in the Atlantic and avoid being a wildcard team. Each team has beat the other at home way back in October with both going under the total. Lean to BOS +105 as a small dog at home and the under 6.5.
NJ/OTT - The Sens have won both meetings this year and have won 3 in a row. Ottawa seems to be trending up a bit while the Devils are just awful. Lean to OTT -130.
DET/TOR - The Leafs have won all 3 meetings this season and all 3 have gone over the total. Lean to over 7.
CLB/TB - TB needs this win to secure 3rd in the Atlantic and are red hot now, getting ready for the playoffs at the right time! TB won the only the meeting this year and this will be the start of a home and home with the Jackets. Lots of key injuries for the Jackets, they are playing a few more rookies to end the season and have lost 4 of their last 5 games due to this. Lean to TB 6.5.
CAR/NYR - The Canes are without both of their goalies and they got a rookie starting his 3rd ever NHL game in goal. Both teams are 7-3 in their last 10 games. CAR has won 2 of 3 head to head meetings this year. The Rangers can still win the division and it start with a win tonight! Lean to NYR -115 over another team listed at -105, I always go with the -115 fav in these situations.
EDM/PITT - The Pens need this game to keep 3rd in the Metro and the Oilers are locked into 2nd in their division. EDM didn't look interested in CLB the other night taking a quick 2 game Eastern road trip to end the season. Lean to Pitt -160.
NYI/WSH - The Caps don't have much to play for, other than to move up from a wildcard to 3rd in the Metro and with Ovechkin out, who knows what team shows up. The Isles have lost 5 in a row and the Caps have won 5 in a row against the isles(8-2 in their last 10 games against NYI) No play for me.
CAL/NSH - This could be a 1st round playoff match up and the Preds need this win to lock up a wildcard spot. The Flames have nothing to play for. Lean to NSH +115 plus the Preds have beat Calgary in both head to head meetings this year.
AZ/MINN - The Wild need a win to get homeice in the first round of the playoffs and they have CAL and COL on deck. AZ is just awful,, but the juice is crazy on both the ML and PL.
VEG/DAL - Whoever wins this game most likely gets that wildcard spot in the Western Conference. DAL is much better at home and VEG has showed me nothing the last 4 games to suggest they will win. Lean to DAL -115.
STL/COL - The Avs have nothing to play for and it shows as they've lost 4 in a row while STL is 9-1 in their last 10 games. Both games have gone over the total head to head and each team has won on the road when they've played each other this season. Lean to STL +150 who are fighting for homeice in the 1st round of the playoffs.
I didn't cap the 2 late games, with SEA/VAN & ANA/SJ as neither game has any meaning.
