Last night 1-1 -.15 Units YTD 48-39-2 +7.11 Units
We have a nice 10 game card tonight after the 3 games from last night in which they all went over the total with 2 dogs hitting. We have a few teams returning from road trips from the opposite time zone, so beware of letdown spots for NJ and Vegas.
The Ottawa Senators have 4 players out due to covid protocol and an assistant coach, couple that with a defense that gives up a ton of goals and is horrible on the road, the Bruins is the play here even at high juice of -270. Bruins a perfect 4-0 at home too. No lean on the total, if anything the over is the play due to all the lineup changes for Ottawa and the Sens suspect defense.
Florida and LA are playing back-to-back road games on consecutive nights. Florida is a small fav -150 at the Devils, this could be a bad spot for the Panthers and 11 of 18 have gone under the total combined with these two teams this season. LA has won 5 in a row, Montreal is a small fav at -125. It's been tough to get a read on teams playing back-to-back road games, usually, I would say play the under, but its pretty even so far on the season at 15-14-1.
Pass on Carolina/TB as the Canes lost their first game of the season, should be interesting to see if they rebound.
Oilers at Red Wings looks to be an entertaining game as both teams have scored a lot this year, strong lean to the over.
STL at Winnipeg is a solid match-up as both teams look to rebound from poor outings last game out. Blues great road team and Jets great home team, something has to give! I lean to the Jets here at home.
Vancouver has had a poor homestand going 2-4, last game at home before heading out Ducks 4 wins in a row.
Pitt hits the road for only their 3rd road game after an 8 game homestand, while Chicago tries to build off their first win under their new HC. Both teams have gone over the total far more this season, slight lean to the over and Chicago.
Vegas returns home from a 4 game east coast roadie and now they get 6 straight at home. Seattle has gone over the total for 6 of their 7 games on the road, the Kraken returns home for a 6 game homestand after this quick road game. I lean to the over in this one.
Calgary is finishing their homestand against SJ before heading out for a 7 game roadie. Lean Flames -175.
The following numbers from last night were requested by all the Draft Kings reader's here, so I hope all of you that read the column daily can use them to your advantage - Total goals last night - 21(Home - 10/Road - 11) Total PP goals last night - 3 Total SH goals last night - 1 **Another prop to try is empty-net goals, you would be surprised how many are scored each night as coaches tend to pull the goalie earlier than if down 1 or 2 goals. Favs were 1-2 last night, while over the total was 3-0 last night.
Systems so far this season -
