I'm back after my first weekend off since the NHL season began. Let's get back at it and win some dollars. Road teams continue to dominate lately, on Sunday night they went 6-2, Saturday night 6-1, Friday night 3-1 for a 15-4 record! Yesterday's road teams were a horrible 1-4. We have a 6 game card tonight, which could have some live dogs! Analysis is below.
NSH/FL - The Preds have lost 4 in a row and fatigue is a major factor for Saros in goal having started 16 of the last 17 games. I've said for a while now that it would catch up with him and now it has! The Panthers had a dominating 3 game road trip and now start a 5 game homestand. Both teams have been going over the total a lot lately. Lean to FL -188 who are incredible at home.
TOR/CLB - Both teams have gone over the total in 8 of their last 10 games. The Leafs beat CLB earlier in the season 5-4 on home ice. Toronto is playing back-to-back nights on the road after a horrible performance last night in MTL. The Jackets have quietly won 7 of their last 9 games. Small lean to CLB +130, a bad spot for TOR tonight, plus the Leafs have MIN on deck at home.
MIN/OTT - This will be the Sens 10th game in 16 nights. Fatigue has to play a role tonight against a team like the Wild that plays a very heavy game. Ottawa is off until Saturday after this one then hit the road for 5 games before returning for 5 home games. Ottawa has gone under the total in 8 of their last 10 games due to all the injuries they lack scoring! Minny beat Ottawa earlier in the season 5-4OT. The Wild have won 9 of their last 12 games but this could be a sandwich game as Minny is off a big win in EDM and has TOR on deck Thursday night. Huge lean to Minny -188.
STL/PHI - This will be the Blue's 4th game on the road in 8 nights, so they've had the games spread out and fatigue shouldn't be a factor. STL sat rested while the Flyers were home to CAR yesterday and lost in OT. STL doesn't play again until Friday at home then hit the road for another 4 game roadie.
SJ/ANA - The Ducks snapped a 4 game losing streak in VAN on Saturday night and have gone over the total in 8 of their last 10 games. SJ has lost 6 in a row and 8 of their last 10 games. This will be the first game between these two rivals after the Ducks won all 3 games head to head last season. ANA starts a 6 game homestand that will determine if they are in the playoff hunt as the NHL trade deadline approaches. Huge lean to ANA -133.
NYI/SEA - Seattle just played 3 games in 5 nights on the road and played last night in VAN while NYI rested. This is a bad spot for SEA. The Isles got embarrassed at home earlier this month by SEA 3-0, so I look for a big rebound game for NYI plus they catch the Kraken in a bad spot. Huge lean to NYI -167.
