The Avalanche open training camp for the 2018-19 season on Thursday when the veterans report for medicals and physical testing at the Pepsi Center.
Fifty-four players are on the camp roster, which includes 31 forwards, 18 defensemen and five goalies.

On-ice sessions begin Friday at Family Sports in Centennial, Colo. They are open to the public for free on a first-come, first-served basis. Times are Mountain Time. No Burgundy and White Game this year.
Here’s the schedule:
Friday Group 1 on ice: 8:45-10:15 a.m. Group 2 on ice: 10:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Saturday Group 2 on ice: 8:45-10:15 a.m. Group 1 on ice: 10:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Sunday Group 1 on ice: 8:45-10:15 a.m. Group 2 on ice: 10:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Monday Group 2 on ice: 8:45-10:15 a.m. Group 1 on ice: 10:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
