Oh how good it will feel to finally take in live NHL action when Toronto visits Ottawa tonight at the CTC. It sounds like Filip Gustavsson and Mads Sogaard will split time in goal tonight for the Sens.
On defense Nick Holden and Michael Del Zotto will make their Sens debut as many fans are keen to see what both of these players will bring to the blueline this season. Lassi Thomson will play his second game in a row after a great game in Winnipeg as he is starting to show signs why he was a first round draft pick back in 2019.
Up front, we will get to see why management thinks Chris Tierney is second on the depth chart at the center ice position. Shane Pinto will have something to say about it after a strong start to camp. While Sens fans will see Zach Sanford make his debut in an Ottawa uniform after his recent trade to the Senators.
Surprisingly Jacob Bernard-Docker and Matt Murray aren’t scheduled to be playing tonight. Many people who I have talked to have said Murray needs as much work as possible to get ready for the season. The absence of JBD through the first 2 pre-season games has me wondering why management wouldn’t get one of their promising young prospects as much NHL action as possible.
I am interested to hear what players Sens fans are most interested in watching tonight. We have had some great discussion the past few days in the comment section, I hope to see more of you join in!
I will have a post game blog up within an hour of the game finishing.
Thanks for reading.
