Great looking card tonight with 10 games after a small card last night. There are teams in really nice spots tonight. It works out like that sometimes where one night you like a bunch of games. Burins were disappointing last night, I expected far more with such a rested team.
Carolina is coming off 5 days' rest when they visit Montreal tonight. I just can't back this Habs team, 3 goals in 4 games. Canes 2-0, Habs 0-4. Let's not forget who Carolina signed to an offer sheet in the off-season, a lot of resentment with these two teams.
Brady Tkachuk returns tonight for Ottawa which will be a huge emotional boost for the Sens. Ottawa has had 4 days off since they beat Dallas. All three Sens games have gone under the total. SJ could surprise a few teams but a bad spot for them tonight.
Florida has really made a statement to start the season by beating the 2 favs in the East, in NYI and TB. Now they get the Avs one of the favs from the West. Avs get their captain back tonight but still no MacKinnon.
Caps/Devils no lean either way, just a pass for me. Caps off big win over the Avs and not sure what to expect from the Devils with 2 wins over Seattle(1-4) and Chicago(0-4) so they haven't been tested yet.
Small lean to the NYR as Nashville hasn't looked good at all to start the year. NYR on 3rd game in 5 nights on the road. Tired legs?
Flames starting 5 game road trip and haven't looked good in their first two games for a team with high expectations. Wings have looked very good in the early going, playing a total team game!
NYI playing their 4th game in a week on the road(first 13 games on the road) but they really rebounded with a nice win in Chicago. CLB has played nobody to start the year, AZ, Seattle and Detroit. NYI gets their 2nd win.
Winnipeg plays their home opener tonight, after a devastating OT loss in Minny. Duck's 3rd game in 4 nights on the road, give me the Jets.
Chicago needs a win badly and Vancouver is the just the team for it. Canucks playing their 5th in 8 nights on the road, they looked the last 2 games and don't see that changing.
Yotes are the worst team in the league, but the Oilers better not get caught looking ahead to the Vegas game tomorrow night. Edmonton should win easy.
One thing that I would like the readers to do is to post any goalie info that they might see throughout the day in the comment section as sometimes changes occur, which can affect if you place a wager on the game or not. Sytems so far this season - Home teams are now 32-20 to start the year. Over/Under the total is 26-25-1 on the year. Teams in back-to-back consecutive road games are now 2-2-1 over/under the total. Teams rested the night before when their opponent plays the prior night are 5-1! Home teams in their home openers are 17-9, Winnipeg fits the system tonight.
