Quick update in advance of a full blog tomorrow:
In the wake of four Sabres games being postponed over the past week, the team added three more to the Covid-19 list today.
Forwards Dylan Cozens and Mark Jankowski as well as head coach Don Granato have all been designated to the Covid protocols. The Sabres already had three players on the Covid list as Zemgus Girgensons, Vinnie Hinostroza and Jeff Skinner were added last week.
The Sabres are currently scheduled to play in Buffalo on Wednesday against the New Jersey Devils but one has to wonder if that will go forward as scheduled. The league now essentially has an extra month of available dates as a result of the decision not to send players to the Olympics. That undoubtedly makes it easier for the league to put off more games.
