LOL..Please excuse the OBVIOUS click bait nature of my headline today...Just having some fun...
The answer is NOT..Jeff Skinner (although I do think he’s kind of getting screwed with ice-time right now). And thanks to @BrandonSmillie, @Greatdayforhay @Croy_33 and others who suggested him when I asked for the least tradeable player right now...It came down to Loui Eriksson and Skinner...I went with Skinner because the contract has MANY more years on it...
In fact, the answer is overwhelming...Talking to several team people in the NHL...the hottest trade commodity is Darcy Kuemper... The reason is two-fold.
#1. The Yotes are trying to cut money in ANY way possible and right now they paying Kuemper 4.5 this year and next..
#2. He is a frigging good goalie. A #1 or at worst a “1A.… This season, more than any other, will likely come down to the points you grab from BOTH of your netminders..There are a number of teams who believe that Darcy could spell playoffs..
