The Rangers are working hard to find a third team to take up some money..They are absolutely still in on Kane. The Rangers know he wants to come to NY and history tells us the Rangers find a way to get players that want to be Rangers. Vegas also really wants Kane…however, there is a big feeling out there that Kane really only wants to go to NY. A source tells me, “If the rangers can’t work it out, Kaner’s competitive nature could have him wanting to take a playoff shot with Vegas or Dallas……

The Yotes are keeping the price EXTREMELY high still…and we need to remember they don’t have to move him…He is under contract for next year. The Yotes have also talked to a few teams that will give them close to their ask this summer…so a team will have to blow them away at this deadline… Ottawa’s move last night to open up space has them jumping to the top of teams who could do it before the deadline,.
On Gavrikov… There is definitely some drama with this one. Was told the player was pretty set on going to Boston, so when that deal fell apart people weren’t happy. The Leafs love Gavrikov…as do the Carolina Hurricanes.. The Penguins could enter into this too…Things are getting very desperate in Pittsburgh…This could go to the deadline now…
On Karlsson….
There is talk out there that the Oilers are pulling out because they can’t make it work. Whenever something like that gets public it makes me think that the Oilers are trying to pressure the Sharks a bit. San Jose will never be able to get more than they can right now for Karlsson… The Leafs have also called about Karlsson…
