Tampa forwards - Killorn, Colton and Jennaut may all be available. (Red Wings)

Mark Easson believes that all three of Killorn, Colton and Jennaut could be available due to cap constraints. I’d posted about Killorn before but there doesn’t seem to be an appetite for that particular player amongst several of those who have chimed in.

Ross Colton is a 26 year old center and already drawing attention. 6’1… lefty is expected to receive more in arbitration than TB wants to commit. 83 points in 190 games (47 g, 36 a) this would be a potentially optional depth piece that would supplant one of Veleno, Berggren or Rasmussen up the middle and at an age and familiarity with Yzerman’s work that I wonder if this is an option explored. He may not be directly familiar with the former GM as much as other players, but at least knows the results.

Tanner Jeannot has 62 points in 152 games. At 6’2… this would appear a potential replacement for Erne’s departure, but I think many of us are curios to see what Mazur brings to the table at camp.

Let me know if any of these players move the needle for you. Would you have the conversation a pass on all 3? Names continue to float and eyes are on TB, Vegas and Toronto as all have cap issues that will continue to inflate if the stagnation continues into the next several years. I’m very curious as to what Matthews and Nylander are both looking for in Toronto. I’ve seen and had speculation thrown my way but at some point the missing components of a team that has only been to the second round once in his tenure with a good deal tied up in 4 forwards has to be addressed. Should be an interesting (I hope) couple of days at the draft this year.
