Maple Leaf fans were upset last night because of a loss to the Sharks. What would losing to the Penguins without Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Jeff Carter, Bryan Rust... and Kris Letang sound like?
The Penguins are without their top three centers and now their top defenseman. Kris Letang is going to be scratched from the game tonight and perhaps longer.
Kris Letang is in COVID protocol and will not play tonight.

Coach Sullivan on Letang: "He is not a confirmed positive. He has had a positive test. He is in the process of confirmatory tests, and that's part of the protocol."
The injuries for this team at the moment are really something, even for Penguins standards. When you look at the lineup it doesn’t look great
But you could say the same thing about pretty much every Penguins lineup this year and all they’ve done is collect at least one standings point in each game. This will be their biggest uphill battle because losing your top three centers, your best d man, and your best right winger is a lot to overcome.
The good news is that both Crosby and Malkin have been skating. Not only skating, but on the ice together.
