Several upsets last night and our computer won only 3 of 11 last night in its projections...after going 5-0 Friday night... See bottom of this blog for new projections...Upsets mean changes!
But first...
The Calgary Flames have quietly won nine in a row and done so in dominating fashion..Two straight shutouts...And watching them last night it's more than a streak. This team feels VERY much for real to me.
Starting this season there was plenty of debate going around about who the best team in Alberta was, but I feel most people were tipping their hat to Edmonton who with all that talent and top draft picks were finally turning the corner...Meanwhile. the Calgary Flames, who haven't had the top pick overall once were considered a team in flux...They made the playoffs two years ago, then last year, without any goaltending, they looked to be moving the wrong direction...
But here we are... a month to go and there is a possibility that both teams from Alberta will see the playoffs, and there is even the glorious prospect of a first round matchup in Alberta...which would be awesome..
All this makes me wonder....
