Sunday Night Pix - 6 plays updated!! Updated info/systems/trends!!! (draft kings)

Last night 2-4 -7.24 Units YTD 78-60-2 +12.55 Units

Well, I apologize to anyone who followed my NYI play last night. Flames notched 2 empty goals, but NYI was so dominant in the 2nd half of the game but Markstrom was ridiculous in goal, stopping 34 of 36 shots. My biggest takeaway is that if I am going to place any large wagers, from now on I will wait until game time due to covid. NYI lost 6 players throughout the day due to covid protocol. Live and learn but that loss stung! Again, you gotta stick to your systems and angles because in the end will be profitable, it's a marathon this 82 game season, not a sprint. The crazy stat of the night is the 9 shorthanded goals!! Most nights this season, we're lucky to get one of them.

**Goalie info - Kakonin/Elliott for Wild/TB.....Tokarski/Shesterkn for Sabres/NYR....Woll/Sorokin for Leafs/Isles.....Vladar/Jeremy Swayman for Flames/Bruins....Fleury/Demko for Hawks/Canucks....Vanacek/Grubauer for Caps/Kraken.....Vejmelka/Quick for AZ/LA**

5PM - Minny is now rotating wins and losses over their last 6 games like the Flyers! TB lost to NJ last night and the Wild in back to back on the road. Both teams play similar styles, small lean to TB.

6PM - NYR -225 is a steep price at home against Buffalo unless you feel comfortable playing the Rangers on the PL (+109). Sure the Sabres have struggled on the road but will the Rangers play down to their competition? Buffalo +190 might be worth a shot, but I will pass!

Calgary is playing 3/4, 4/6, 5/7, 6/10, and 7 road games in 11 nights. To say they faded against the Isles last night was an understatement. Even the announcers said you could tell they had no legs and were hanging on by a thread, but Markstrom bailed them out. I will play Boston for a good size play but closer to game time. Bruins -160.

The Leafs visit Long Island and like I said above, I will wait to see on playing NYI. Keep in mind, 20 of the 30 combined games by these two teams this season have gone under the total. Strong lean NYI -105 and small lean to the under. Back later on this one.

Nucks had the night off while Chicago sunk a ton of energy into their game at Edmonton. Another nice spot for Vancouver like they had the other night against the Jets. Nucks -135 good-sized play.

Be very careful with this possible trap game when the Caps visit Seattle. The Kraken is sitting rested at home, while the Caps played in SJ last night and are playing their 4th road game in 6 nights. Seattle just got embarrassed at home and they will treat this game like their Stanley Cup. They will sink all their energy into this one. The Caps -130 already says Vegas doesn't feel comfortable making Washington a big fav here which they should be when you look at the talent on both rosters, but that doesn't matter from game to game. The old saying holds true in games like these, there is a reason they play the games even though some might think it's a foregone conclusion that the Caps will win. The Kraken is off until Wednesday too, can they snap the 6 game losing streak. Home cooking sure helps! Seattle +110 is a solid play here considering the spot both teams are in.

LA -220 is another heavy fav at home but in a nice spot as they sat rested in LA after their afternoon game while AZ played at home last night. Both teams have combined for 22 of 33 games under the total this year. I lean to the under here for sure but I can't get myself up to laying that kind of juice on LA.

The following numbers from last night were requested by all the Draft Kings reader's here, so I hope all of you that read the column daily can use them to your advantage - Total goals last night - 79 (Home - 40/Road - 39) Total PP goals last night - 13 Total SH goals last night - 9 Favs were 7-5 last night, 48-11 the last 8 nights. **Another prop to try is empty-net goals, you would be surprised how many are scored each night as coaches tend to pull the goalie earlier than if down 1 or 2 goals.

Home teams are now 153-117. Over/Under the total is 126-135-7 on the year. Teams in back-to-back consecutive road games are now 25-18-1 over/under the total. Teams rested the night before when their opponent plays the prior night are 30-17. East vs West games, East 55-52 over the Western Conference. Teams playing 3 in 4 nights on the road, bet against in 3rd game - 16-5 Teams playing 4 in 6 nights on the road, bet against in 4th game - 14-3 Teams off 5 game roadie or more, bet against them. 7-4 Teams playing 5 in 8 nights on the road, bet against them in 5th game - 5-2 Teams playing in their 6th straight road game, bet against them. 1-2
