First off, many thanks to those who've messaged me at hockeybuzz, it's nice to hear I've helped many of you with your plays each night and won you some nice coin. Feel free to send an IM and I will always get back to everyone, just as I do I the comment section. We had to survive blown leads last night, OT, and shootouts but in the end, we came out big winners! Weekends have treated us well this season and last night was no different. The Wild blew a 3-0 lead but won in a shootout while Ottawa blew a 5-2 lead and won in OT. Several games last night went to OT or were decided by a goal. With teams losing goalies to injury and covid right now, there are a few teams struggling and that's what happens with the highs and lows of a long NHL season. We have a nice 6 game card tonight, the game analysis is below for tonight's games.
**Elliott/Hart confirmed goalies** 6pm EST- The Flyers sat rested at home last night while TB was in Boston. Flyers have lost 7 in a row and have been off since Wednesday, great spot here for Philly, strong lean to the Flyers +105.
**Hill/Merlikins confirmed goalies** 6pm EST - The Sharks are playing their 5th road game in 8 nights after they won the first 3 of the roadie, they lost a hard-fought game to the NY Rangers 1-0 the other night. SJ heads home for a 7 game homestand after this game. The Jackets are off a 4 game roadie in which they lost all 4 games and were playing last night in Washington while SJ rested. Be sure to check the Jackets starting goaltender before placing a wager on this game.
**Fleury/Varlamov confirmed goalies** Both Chicago and the NYI played last night and are playing their 3rd in 4 nights, but Isles had 2 home games in there. NYI has now lost 10 in a row, but since they came back from the covid postponement of games, they lost both games in OT. Lean to NYI -155.
**Woll/Hellebuyck confirmed goalies** The Jets are off a dominating win at home over NJ and are rested while the Leafs played a tough physical game in Minnesota last night that went to a shootout. The Leafs were without Marner last night too. Strong lean to the Jets as they are a small fav -115 vs. the Leafs -105, again, I will always take the team in this spot with these exact lines. I also lean to the under too.
**Quick/Koskinen likely goalies** LA has lost 7 of their last 8 games and now plays the high-flying Oilers. The Oiler's injuries on the blueline are catching up to them as witnessed in their loss to Seattle the other night. Edmonton starts a 6 game homestand tonight. Be very careful with Edmonton until they get healthy, this game is a pass for me. Not worth it with the Oilers -187.
**Markstrom/Lehner likely goalies** The Flames are playing their 3rd game in 4 nights on the road but they have done that a lot this year, dominating on the road. Vegas is a different beast at home and this is the first meeting between these two this season. The Knights -120 are small favs for a reason, lean to Vegas here.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The following numbers from last night were requested by all the Draft Kings reader's here, so I hope all of you that read the column daily can use them to your advantage - Total goals last night - 65 (Home - 39/Road - 26) Total PP goals last night - 12 Total SH goals last night - 3 Favs were 4-1 last night. The last eight days favs have gone 52-23! **Another prop to try is empty-net goals, you would be surprised how many are scored each night as coaches tend to pull the goalie earlier than if down 1 or 2 goals.
Home teams are now 210-163. Over/Under the total is 182-180-7 on the year. Teams in back-to-back consecutive road games are now 28-22-1 over/under the total. Teams rested the night before when their opponent plays the prior night are 31-24. East vs West games, West 80-75 over the Eastern Conference. Teams playing 3 in 4 nights on the road, bet against in 3rd game - 17-9 Teams playing 4 in 6 nights on the road, bet against in 4th game - 18-4 Teams off 5 game roadie or more, bet against them. 10-5 Teams playing 5 in 8 nights on the road, bet against them in 5th game - 7-3 Teams playing in their 6th straight road game, bet against them. 1-4
