That time of year is upon us once again.
You know, the time every year when a bunch of old guys get together to tell us who is going into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
Having been to the Hockey Hall of Fame, I can say that it's pretty damn awesome. I fully recommend going if you can.
Generally speaking, the Hall does a decent job with their selections, although they often overlook great players who deserve to be there (Tomas Kaberle, Alex Mogilny) and make insane selections (Guy Carboneau).
This year they will undoubtedly elect Jerome Iginla, and hopefully Mogilny.
But the reason for this articles title is this:

One of these things does not belong, and that thing is Shane Doan.
No offense, but Doan isn't a Hall of Fame player, and even putting his picture on this graphic is unfair to him as it may give him false hope.
Doan is a beloved member of the Coyotes and one of their best ever players, but in terms of where he stands in the overall landscape of the history of the game, he's a non-entry.
End of story. Fire anyone who even suggests him for the HOF cause it's patently ridiculous.

When last we left off, we had named Radim Vrbata 13th best of all-time.
Today we name #12 Nikolai Khabibulin
Khabibulin was an original Coyote, coming over from the Jets in 1996, along with, one presumes, the Baha Men.
Khabibulin played just three years with the Coyotes but somehow manages to be fourth in games played, and wins.
Fun Fact: only five Coyotes goalies have ever dressed in a playoff game. I better put the song in here so you can throw up.
It takes 16 wins to win the Stanley Cup, and in almost 25 years, the Coyotes have managed a grand total of 22 playoff wins.
Which perfectly sums up why Khabibulin is their 12th best player ever.
