If all is to believed in the rumor mill and insiders true words, the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Boston Bruins have a tentative deal in place pending trade protection assets.
The supposed transaction of the teams involves Vladislav Gavrikov to Boston for a first and third round pick; presumably the first is this year and the third is most likely next year.
It is also sounding that a player with near equal cap space is leaving the Bruins roster. This will help free up the space for the Presidents Trophy leaders to acquire the Russian rental.
Other teams are still in the race, as outlined in yesterdays blog by me also stated.
Vladislav Gavrikov - the holdout continues for the 26-year old. Gavrikov is continuing to be sat for trade protection. He is a true top 4 defender and there are not many of those to find on the trade market.Teams Interested:
