After watching a 7 period hockey game last night, the question has to be asked….
Is the way we do playoff overtime worth it?
My answer is absolutely. 100%. I would hate to live to the day we see shootouts in the NHL playoffs…I know some players would prefer that….but that is soccer’s problem…
I love me a 4 OT game…
However, I do see the issues a game like last night can cause…Both of these teams will feel this game in game 2 for sure, and if we see any more extra time it could hinder their chances for Cup.
My solution….
Wh not go to 4 v 4 unlimited OT?
I really dont want to change anything, HOWEVER, I am hearing some team rumblings out there and players as well. 4 v 4 would still be hockey, but it is doubtful it would go multiple overtimes. This could save injuries and competition in future games…
